Lying Liars

A quick, accusation‑forward party game for 2 to 6 players. Accuse friends and family of scandals, influence defenses, and call “Lying Liar!” Truth and lies have consequences. Teach in a minute, play in 20–40 minutes, and expect “one more round.”

How it plays

Take turns accusing other players with Scandal cards or use Influence cards to shift the odds in your favor. Avoid collecting four of the same type of scandal.

Game Modes

Easy: Ends when a player collects four of the same scandal. That player loses; all others win.

Expert: Continues until only one player remains.

Set Up

  1. Shuffle the deck.
  2. Deal 6 cards to each player.
  3. Place remaining cards in the center as the draw pile.
  4. Choose Easy or Expert mode.

On Your Turn

  1. Choose an Opponent: Select another player.
  2. Play a Card: Place a face-down Scandal and declare it, or play an Influence face up.
  3. Challenge (Scandal only): Target may call your bluff; reveal and resolve effects. Loser keeps the scandal in their play area.
  4. Draw: If you played a card, draw one.
  5. Next Player: Clockwise.
